Lab attendance requirements and vacation days#

How many days do I have to be in-person?#

At BHK Lab, we encourage all members to be in-person for lab meetings and journal clubs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively. See the lab meeting and journal club pages to learn more.

Note - You will need to be onsite for project specific meetings or as required by your leads.

How many days can I work remotely?#

As per our policy, all lab members who were hired after March 2020 (the start of the COVID-19 pandemic) need to be in the lab five days a week. Medical and personal cases will be treated as exceptions. If you need to be physically absent from the lab, you must communicate with Benjamin for approval. Once approved, keep Soleil informed of the number of days you were remote. You can do this by replying to her biweekly email.

Leave application or vacation days#

If you need to apply for sick days or vacation, please email Soleil after approval from Benjamin.
